Pantry Details, hours, photos, information: Berlin Family Food Pantry

The Berlin Family Food Pantry has been established to give some measure of support to Berlin residents experiencing difficulty providing food for their family. We are depending on volunteers from the community to provide both food and service to our clients, who themselves may be volunteers. If you are a Berlin resident, 18 years of age or older, and wish to use the Berlin Family Food Pantry to supplement your food budget, Welcome! When you come into the food pantry you need to talk with our Intake Volunteer. He or she will help you make out the necessary required formsYou may shop at the food pantry twice a month - hours are Tuesday or Saturday 11:30 am - 1:00 pm. On your first visit, after you prove residency, you may shop with the help of a volunteer for the number of people in your household. You will have a shopping list provided by the Intake Volunteer. We will ask for proof of financial need as determined by your family income. Proof of financial need would include the combined income of all family members receiving food. This income includes wages, self-employment income, social security, pensions, annuities and retirement benefits. Your latest federal tax form should show all of these. If you are not required to pay federal taxes, a combination of your social security benefit amount, and checking and savings statements should hold this information.
* Important: Please call the food pantries to confirm that the hours have not changed. We do our best to provide full information and details, but food pantries often change their hours without notifying us. We do not want you to waste your time visiting a pantry that is not open.
