      I have been taking care of my granddaughter since her birth, along with her mother. Her dad has M.S. and can't do that much for his child, (now age 7), so the grandparents stepped up, that's me, Audrey C. Smith, and her 'Papa', Craig Smith. We reside in Beltsville, Maryland. With my husband having cancer for the fourth time now, he can't do much in the way of giving our grandchild a happy, thrilling, believable Christmas, with Santa gifts. We are both retired, receiving a small monthly benefit check from Social Security, that pays minimum bills, and not enough for us to go to outings, or buy xmas gifts for our dear, only, grandchild. Our family village, just lost a six year old to a complicated ailment, and our little seven year old grandchild, is now the youngest of all of the generations born since my father, and my husband's father and mother passed away. She is a believer in Santa still, and I am seeking out to charities, to make her Christmas, a happy one. When the mail was dropped off at my home today, she immediately went through Target's mail, and started circling the gifts she wanted. I have no monies to my name, nor my husband, as medical bills and household bills always take the priority. We are in a hardship this year, so that is why I am asking you, if you could kindly help my granddaughter out this year? My car needs worked on, and I have been on foot whenever I need to go somewhere outside of my house. I am trying to save money to get it fixed, and I just can't seem to get a chance to save up for it. It is all a mess. I thank you in advance for any help you can do for our family this year.
