How do I volunteer?

Visit https://houseofmercyva.org/volunteer/ for application procedures to volunteer in House of Mercy's food pantry, thrift store and/or donation center. Bilingual volunteers are encouraged to apply, but all are welcome.

Do you know if I can get food delivered to me?

House of Mercy partners with Prince William Food Rescue for emergency food deliveries. Contact PWFR for more information.

Do I need to make an appointment?

Food pantry are not required to make an appointment. Simple visit HOM Monday-Friday between 10am and 4pm. ID for each family member is required (for children anything with their birthdate is accepted). A proof of address is also required.

What type of documentation do I need to apply for food?

House of Mercy requires ID for each member of the household (for children, it should be something with their birthdate on it) and a proof or address for the family (homeless applicants simply have to explain the situation at intake).

House of Mercy is a Catholic-based 501 (c) 3 humanitarian organization dedicated to serving the hungry and anyone needing solace and care. In addition to Food, we offer free and low-cost clothing/shoes, life and financial mentoring, job search training, spiritual care, volunteer opportunities, hope and smiles..
We're open almost daily, and would love to help you, our Veterans, in any way we can. God bless you for your service to our country!
