Our Food Pantry at First United Methodist Church in downtown Madison, Wisconsin is part of The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) serving households who qualify based on eligibility and income guidelines.
Hours of Operation:
Monday & Wednesday
10 a.m. - Noon
We ask that clients arrive no earlier than 9 a.m. in our parking lot or on-site.
Tuesday & Thursday
5:30 - 6:30 p.m.
We ask that clients arrive no earlier than 5:30 p.m. in our lot or on-site.
We offer on-site registration and once we have checked-in the number of households we are able to serve during a pantry session will close registration for that session.
A photo ID is required along with IDs for all family members and documentation of residence such as a rental agreement or utility bill. Food Pantry closures are announced ahead of time when planned on our church Calendar of Events page or call United Way of Dane County 608-246-4357 [HELP] available 24 hours a day seven days a week. Households may be served only ONE TIME each week.
Food Pantry 1 - Food Pantry
Those coming to the Food Pantry are invited to choose food based on what is available and the amount received is based on the size of the household.
If you would like to make donations of food for our food pantry, please contact our Director of Outreach Ministries. Our greatest need items include fresh fruit, vegetables, canned tuna, soup and soup mixes.
Cash donations are also greatly appreciated:
* Important: Please call the food pantries to confirm that the hours have not changed. We do our best to provide full information and details, but food pantries often change their hours without notifying us. We do not want you to waste your time visiting a pantry that is not open.
