      As the manager of the food pantry services we are pleased to assist Hernando County residents with their nutrition needs. We have been fortunate to receive a wide variety of pantry foods as well as bakery goods and eggs. We look forward to helping you and your family.

      Fyi: There is this lady that is taking advantage of all Hernando County food pantries. Her name is Patty mcginnis aka Patty Foyle. She is a food hoarder. She is also claiming children n adults that no longer live at her residence. Her bathroom, closet and parts of her bedroom. She goes to all of the pantries. Can u please pass this around to others. Thank u.I just can't see food being hoarded n hungry families are starving.

      Wow, calling to see what I needed to do and person that answered wasn't helpful. Doesn't even ask if person is having problems and when I tried to speak they just hung up on me. I have to say that I never felt so small and help was very very rude and inconsiderate. Next time when a person is asking for information should be more helpful instead of saying we aren't taking anymore people til the 1st of next year. Should at least ask the person the situation on why they are calling and indicate what they need to bring to get that help even if its for a one time because you don't know the situation the person is going through and if they have children.

    DayStar Life Center is a ministry of St. Anthonys Church.
    Provide basic needs:
    Food, Resource Information.

    DayStar Life Center is an all volunteer organization helping needy families in Brooksville and Spring Hill, Hernando County. Funding comes primarily from our Thrift Store sales. Our Thrift Stores sell clothes, appliances, books, furniture, home accessories and children toys. We also manage our own food pantry and provide information to assist families with life's basic needs.
