East Orange Community Development Corporation (soon to be known as "Horizon of Hope of the Oranges, a Family Care Center" operates a food pantry, Monday-Friday, from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM. It is regulated under the CSBG (Community Service Block Grant) policy. Must be an Orange or East Orange resident. If you received $250.00 or more in food stamps can not access the pantry until after the 15th of the month. A food stamp application can be done for anyone who has not applied at EOCDC. The food pantry is every 90 days until applicant is stabilized and receiving food monthly to sustain. We also host a "nutritional class" beginning in September here at the agency where you learn to eat properly, prepare nutritional foods and make sound choices in food selection as well as exercise for healthy bodies.
