    The Food Pantry of Jeff Davis County serves residents across one of Texas's most remote rural communities — a 2,265-square-mile county with no large grocery stores and limited transportation options.

    They operate on a no-limits, client-choice model that prioritizes dignity and respect: clients shop for what their family actually needs rather than receiving a pre-packed box. They serve twice monthly and offer online ordering for accessibility.

    Programs include fresh produce, shelf-stable groceries, Senior Box delivery, and supplemental food support for school-age children.

    They serve individuals and families of all ages.
    Spanish-speaking clients are welcome.

    Volunteering Information:

    We welcome volunteers for twice-monthly food distributions, produce sorting, client intake, and delivery assistance. Volunteering is a great fit for newcomers to the area, retirees, and anyone who wants to make a direct difference in a rural community.
