Household of Faith Charities was established on November 22, 2013. Our mission is to nurture a healthier, stronger and more engaged local community and a global village. Our vision is to empower all people through our food pantry drives, healthy benefit programs, workforce development training, civic outreach initiatives, as well as our entrepreneurship and leadership development seminars. We are passionately committed to being change agents in our city and we intend to accomplish this through loving people, helping others, and serving our community. For example, we started our food pantry with a small truck, and we serviced over 60 families every 2nd and 4th Friday each month. We serviced 190 families weekly in our first year, and well over 6,000 individuals by October 2014. Since then HOF charities have expanded to servicing 13 counties in Dallas with free food at about 10 pounds per person. In the year 2016, we were able to provide over 23,000 people with breads, dairy, protein, fresh produce, fruits, and non-perishable goods.

We've challenged ourselves to be very intentional and strategic in 2017. One major gap that we have identified is that transportation may prevent them from reaching our facility. Since August, we have worked with local authorities to identify apartment complexes and housing developments that may require additional food assistance and have begun pilot deliveries to apartment complexes directly. We hope to expand this program and partner with local companies to help us meet the need. Our deliveries to the community are on alternate Fridays in the evenings when families can return home from work.
