      I have gone to the mid-del food pantry for a long time, due to retirement and loss of income. No problems ever! I took my neighbor with me Friday, who is mentally ill and needs help to do things. I was trying to help her at this pantry and the head lady who was working with her, was extremly rude to me because I was trying to help my neighbor with the questions. She told me to be quiet and sit down, that she had this! Really???? I was just trying to help. When my neighbor got back to the car, she was was upset and disn't understand what answers the lady wanted. She was very frustrated and over anxious! No call for that kind of behavior or the way she handled that situation. Miss Bonnie dowsn't need to work around people if she can't be a little more compass ionate towards mentally handicapped people. Pretty sad!

      I have been to this pantry several times, on my recent visit I was there a little early because it was cold weather. As I was waiting I saw the employees loading there cars with LOTS of produce but when our time came we were to get only 1 bag. The worker there told me she had not had to buy any food in over 3 yrs. I know these people are not being paid to be there but I am sure they are stocked up better than the normal household. Also I have never gotten not 1 can of corn, green beans, peas or anything to make a meal of. Everything in canned food is so bent up I am afraid to use it and its nothing but tomato sauce or something like that. While I am thankful for the food I can use I wonder were does the good food go? Is it all picked over before any clients are served?

      The staff is very friendly at Mid Del, and the items are usually things you can really use. People should be aware that if you are applying as the head of a household, you will have to have a utility bill with your name and address on it, as well as social security cards and birth dates for each member of your household. They WILL NOT make exceptions on that. Also, if you are wanting to make sure that you get fresh produce, you will need to be there early.
