The Downtown Soup Kitchen began over 30 years ago in a garage, fueled by a vision to share the love of God with Anchorage's homeless.
Operating out of a little red house on 4th Avenue, we provided nearly 300 cups of soup each day to homeless and low-income families; in addition, we offered showers and clothing handouts from a yellow A-frame next door.
In 2012 they moved into a new facility on 3rd Avenue.

Serving neighbors in need for over 30 years
Over 160 individuals volunteer weekly
450-600 cups of soup served daily
