    I have never needed help and I do not know the process of receiving some help until the end of the year...I am at my lowest financially and am having trouble buying food after bills are paid

As the largest distributor of public and private emergency food for a seven parish area, we provided over 3.8 million pounds of food to more than 65,000 low income and below poverty level households in northwest Louisiana.


Monday - Friday
8:00am - 3:30pm


Each week approximately 1,250 pounds of food is distributed for emergency assistance to individuals. The annual estimate of the food distributed is 62,500 pounds with a value of $105,625. The food is distributed through a partnership agreement with Centerpoint

211 DISASTER RELIEF:  As a disaster responder we provide immediate assistance to our member agencies, pop-up and faith based shelters and other individuals. During the 2008 hurricane season we distributed over 800,000 pounds of food, water and supplies to disaster victims

BACKPACK PROGRAM: Chronically hungry children are provided with a backpack of food to take home for the weekend and holidays.  Each  7 - 10 pound weekly bag includes items such as granola bars, fruit juice and pop top canned food

KIDS CAFE: A national program of Feeding America that provides hot meals and nutritional education to low-income children in already existing after-school programs.

Provides nutritional breakfasts and lunches for hungry children who have no access to free food when school is not in session during the summer months

SENIOR PROGRAM: Designed to help the elderly s-t-r-e-t-c-h their food dollars, low income seniors who are 65 and older or 55 and older with a disability receive a montly box of non-perishable groceries

Provide food to rural pantry clients on a monthly basis

KIDS IN DISTRESSED SITUATIONS (K.I.D.S.): A national program, that distributes new clothing and toys to children in need
