    How do I make a donation?

    What type of documentation do I need to apply for food?

    Any legal form ID, and I know they often prefer a passport plus any mail or utility bills that have your name on it to show that you’re a resident. They have several programs that they offer…. One is called food plus… where you received a box of dry good once a month and whatever else they may have which can also be fresh fruits and vegetables… they also have something called the brown bag program… and I believe you can pick up twice a month premature… plus they also have an emergency Food program where you can just come in person, and if they have a counselor available, you can see them the same day. This usually consist of a food box that has both canned goods and dry goods, any bread that they may have delivered to the building, and any dairy like milk, cheese, eggs, yogurt, lunch, meat, hotdog, chicken, fish, etc. that people just happen to donate. If they have any fresh fruit or vegetables, they’ll also give that to you as well and the emergency visit. They used to allow for emergency visits per year…. And that all changed after Covid where you can pick up one of these emergency boxes every month.

    Provides a food pantry.

    Pantry Hours:
    Monday - Friday
    8:00am - 5:00pm

    Vista del Camino provides a variety of services to Scottsdale residents to prevent homelessness, meet the basic needs of individuals and families in crisis, relieve economic and emotional stress and assist individuals to maintain self-sufficiency.

    The food bank is in dire need of food and supplies.

    Vista del Camino Food Bank is out of peanut butter and boxed foods. Food supplies for families in need typically can run very low in the summer when kids are home from school and other household expenses are higher. In fact, the need for emergency food jumps three-fold this time of year.

    Besides peanut butter, Vista is in need of these items:
    Boxed prepared meals (MacNCheese, Hamburger Helper), cereal
    Canned meat (tuna, chicken), prepared meals (chili, ravioli), beans and fruit

    Various toiletries are also needed:
    Diapers
    Baby food
    Laundry soap
    Paper towels
    Toilet paper
    Soap
    Shampoo
    Disposable razors

    Donations:
    Can be dropped off between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, at Vista del Camino.
